Mr. Winterle

I was born and raised in Brazil, in a Christian family. My father is a Lutheran pastor, and my whole life has always been dedicated to church music. After attending University and working for over 10 years in the world of advertising, I felt a calling to work professionally with music, getting a degree in conducting in 2015. I married my beautiful wife Flavia in 2008 and we have two wonderful children: Lucas and Anna. In 2017 we decided to move to Canada, where I got my Master of Theological Studies degree from the Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary/Brock University in 2020. Our family loves playing together in the backyard, going for a walk on a trail, enjoying some pizza and ice cream or simply getting together to watch a movie in the living room.

I love teaching music to children. Making music together, being in an orchestra, choir, or band, is a wonderful opportunity to increase our social relations and discipline. I truly believe that music is an important tool to help raise young men and women who can be used by God to help create a better society. I am very excited to be part of WCS as a Music Teacher, where I can work with students of all ages who, like myself, love Jesus and are willing to dedicate their gifts to His work. My goal is to help them to see music as a good friend for their whole lives.

Fun Fact:

As a Brazilian, I first saw snow when I was 28 years old (and I love winter)! My hobbies have always been related to the arts: I like photography, painting and cinema, to name a few. I also enjoy sports, especially Volleyball, which I played semi-professionally for 5 years. My family loves travelling and learning about other cultures.
