I was one of those people who took a long time to respond to what God wanted me to do with my life. After working in the corporate world for 13 years, I finally took the steps necessary to become a teacher and started working at WCS – a decision I have never regretted! What a joy it has been to work in a school where God is honoured in everything we do and teach. My husband Steve and I were blessed to watch our two daughters grow physically, academically and spiritually here at WCS prior to their graduations in 2004 and 2010.
After teaching grade 8 for many years and then 5 years as a Special Education Teacher, I was given the privilege of assuming the role of principal in 2016. What a joy this has been for me as I interact with parents, students and staff in a whole new way. I am more aware than ever that this is not my school, or even our school, but it is His school. God has richly blessed WCS for 60 years and it is my prayer that we will continue to honour and serve Him as we teach the children entrusted to us to grow academically, socially and spiritually.
