WCS participates in CTBS
testing every other year. All students in grades 3 to 8
are tested. ESL and Special Needs students may qualify for
exemptions from or modification to the tests.
The main reasons for using standardized achievement tests
are to gather information that can be used to improve instruction
and to provide parents with information that helps them
make responsible decisions about the education of their
children.
