Ways to Support WCS

For the past 50 years, Willowdale Christian School has relied on the generosity of individuals and businesses in our community for support - both in word and in deed.

We cherish your prayers. Please pray for the Board to make wise decisions, our Principal to offer steadfast leadership, our teachers to instill knowledge and love and our students to learn and grow in God.

If you are looking for opportunities to volunteer at WCS, please visit the Service Opportunities page or contact the school office.

We also welcome monetary donations. As a charitable organization, we are able to issue tax receipts for any donation over $20.00. Cheques should be made payable to Willowdale Christian School and mailed to the school office at:

Willowdale Christian School
Attn: Treasurer
60 Hilda Avenue

Please click here to visit the Canada Revenue Agency's website for details about our registered charity listing.

We invite you to attend our many fundraising events throughout the year: the Christmas Bazaar (November), Fundraising Dinner (May), Golf Tournament (May), and Family Fun Fair & Garage Sale (June).

Service Program Overview (Opt Out/In form)

The Service Program is a valuable way to build a spirit of community at WCS. It encourages participation by acting as a reminder of the importance of volunteering, and it helps to keep down the overall cost of operating the school. Parental participation also has a direct positive impact on student performance. For these reasons we ask families to actively participate by serving 30 hours over the course of the school year (10 of which must be in approved fundraising activities).

In recognition of the significance that volunteering brings to the school, WCS values these hours at $500.00.

The intent of the program is to make the required commitment easy to attain. In fact, we expect that many families will easily exceed the set quota.

Parents are asked to opt "in" or "out" of the Service Program. Along with your tuition cheques submitted in June, you will be asked to include a $500.00 cheque, dated for the following June 30th.

Click here for the Opt In/Out form.

Visit our Service Opportunities page to learn more about upcoming opportunities to serve at WCS.

You are responsible for recording your hours, either in the log book in the office, or by clicking "Track Your Hours". A statement will be sent out January 15, May 1 and June 15 to show how many hours you have logged. If your family has not completed 30 hours by the end of the school year, your cheque will be cashed on June 30.
